The Buckingham Woodstation

This is a frame to hold logs while you cut them to size.  It also hinges at the back so that the cut logs can be tipped straight into a trailer.

However, the Land Rover pickup has higher sides than a normal trailer so I adapted the framework in a Heath Robinson manner to hang on the back of the Land Rover.

Next we loaded it with logs, this time shorter ones than it can accommodate as that's what I had to hand.

Then we just cut through them with the chainsaw and tip them into the back of the truck.

Job done!

After lunch we cleared some more of the thinned out larch plantation.  As it was left by the contractors it was virtually impossible to get through.

After some clearance and some good bonfires it's much easier to get around.
