Storm - 28th October

I went down to the woods in the afternoon to check up.

There were over 50 trees blown down so I've got my work cut out. 

Badgers, and a Fox, on the Wildlife Camera

These photos are not that good - taken at night with the Wildlife Camera - 

but they are the first that I have of a badger in the woods.  

There's also a shot at the end of Mr Fox.  

Don't take any notice of the time and date stamp on the photos, 

I forgot to reset it properly when I changed the camera battery

Revamp of the next shelter & Clearing with Dan

I've made a start on the roof of the shelter.

Shelter Finished - At Last

Finished at last, the replacement log shelter.

Coppicing and More Shelter Repairs

We've finished coppicing this area of the woodland and here are some photos of the results.  

Lots of wood for the logburner in a couple of years time when its seasoned.

Repairing the Shelters

After all the snow, wind and rain,  the shelters had partially collapsed.  I didn't take any photos before I fixed them - I only thought of it afterwards!  This is the repaired roof of the main log shelter.

Stacking Logs on Boxing Day

On Boxing Day, James, Tom and I went down to the woods to stack some of the logs that I'd cut down a couple of weeks ago.  For the last stack we set up the camera on time-lapse - we don't normally work this fast!
